Wanted to make some Jam today, Can't find the Jam Pan's (have 2) finally find them in the shed outside. He who will remain nameless, unknown to me has been using them to empty the ashes from the fire probably last winter when I was at work (I work afternoons), can't keep an eye on everything. Anyway what was left in the pans is set hard as concrete!!!. Scrubed and scrubed can't get all of it off, so he has been sent outside to waterblast.....we will see what happens.
On the plus side made Strawberry Black Pepper and Mint jam from the "Ripe" Cookbook. its really lovely but [please don't ask me for the recipe its a great book from an Auckland Cafe and I believe in supporting NZ producers, don't think its fair to reproduce the recipe.
Also was given plums so make Plum Jam as well, productive day
