Please could someone enlighten me as to where I might be able to buy a tin of black beans? Or maybe a substitute, perhaps?
TIA

Most supermarkets stock,in big cities, stock these, however any specialist Asian shop will have them as do some health food shops.

Cerebos sell organic black beans in tins. Also, you can buy them dried in good supermarkets. They are easy to cook. They might also come under the name of turtle beans.

Thanks guys, will have a bash at the above recipe. Countdown has a big Cerebos organic selection but I didn't think to look there if not will try cooking the dried type. Cheers!

Just wondering if Chris maybe means the Ceres brand? They definitely do organic tinned black beans. I cooked up a big batch of dried ones last week and then froze a couple of serving size portions.
I think they are my favourite dried bean.
