I have in my freezer an unopened packet of Edmonds pastry sheets with the expiry of last October. Would it be worth using it or would you chuck it? I knew it was there but I just didn't get around to using it.
I don't think expired commercial pastry would be harmful to eat as it will be thoroughly cooked, but give it a sniff first in case the fat in it has gone rancid.
Thank you Marnie and TPANDAV. I have some small tartlet forms that I have not tried out so far, left-over custard and apricots that need using up. I shall give the pastry the sniff test and take it from there.
