I desperately need to replace my cookware. Does anyone know of a good brand to look out for that won't break the bank? Say a good quality set suitable for gas cooking with 3 pots for around $250? While I'd like to invest in a really good set, being at home with two pre school children doesn't allow for it right now!

Briscoes in Christchurch have really good deals on cookware , they seem to have upgraded the lines they carry and have recently been advertising Scanpan pots . We looked all over for new pots recently - at Ballantynes , specialist cookware shops etc and ended up buying a set from the Hampton and Mason Commercial range at Briscoes . They have good heavy bases , good simmer control . straight sides in a commercial kitchen styliing and we are very happy with them - especially as they cost less than $100.00 on sale for a set of three , which is less than the cost for one Jamie Oliver pot .
