Absolutely no slur on Richie McCaw, but what does it say about our country when a Readers Digest poll voted the All Black's captain our most trusted person! I am gobsmacked. Peachesby Ali W - Foodlovers Non-Foodie Chat
Re: any recipe for tasty coleslaw dressing - 11 years ago
I start off with a good blob of mayonnaise - the white kind like Best brand - then add a little dijon mustard, some rice wine vinegar to lighten it and then maple syrup to taste. I also use lemmon pepper sprinkles in the salad. Everone loves it. Peachesby Ali W - Foodlovers Food Talk

Thanks for your encouraging suggestions J1. Our Uniden phones (new so we could have caller id) do not have any options that would work - we have started unplugging the phone at night - realising in an emergency we could be reached on our mobile phones. Peachesby Ali W - Foodlovers Non-Foodie Chat

Are they ever going to end? Four in a row from 2.15am this morning! More tonight. Most people have had a few but we feel persecuted. We have now paid for caller id and for our number to be blocked from showing at the other end. The robot dialler is coming from Sri Lanka - we looked up the country code. Re: Container for Bread - 11 years ago
I keep my home made bread in a cloth bag - I made it out of calico and it works well. I used to work for the biggest bread manufacturer in the country and know for a fact that putting bread in the fridge dries it out by 25%. Peachesby Ali W - Foodlovers Food Talk

The other morning he was taking me to work in the ute and as there was a smallish gap in the traffic he floored it to join the flow. Three teenage school girls sitting in the nearby bus shelter leaned forward as one to check out the hot dude and his hot vehicle. When they sby Ali W - Foodlovers Non-Foodie Chat
Re: Phone Call re malicious computer files - 11 years ago
I just had the computer phone call for the umpteenth time, so I dug out my old whistle. Thought I would give it a try and made my own ears ring! Bring it on you scumbags! Peachesby Ali W - Foodlovers Non-Foodie Chat
Phone call bombardment - 11 years ago
Helen has mentioned the "computer problem" phone calls - but we are getting up to 7 phone calls a day, as soon as we answer they hang up. Our telco did a search on the dates and times we provided and they inform us that they could not match them, this means the calls are not made in NZ. If it is scammers why do they not talk to us? Our son has a theory that they have set up a compby Ali W - Foodlovers Non-Foodie Chat

Yesterday Mal and I enjoyed Donna's company on a train trip to National Park and back. Donna brought along a container of Ginger Crunch made with the recipe mentioned above. Throughout the day we did quality control tests and can say with authority that it was absolutely delicious. Donna kindly gave us several pieces to take home (which will not last long I assure you). Thanks Donna, goby Ali W - Foodlovers Food Talk
